Milk Seafood Cup Noodle?

I am more amused by the product name than by the Cheese and Pepper Superheroes. I do wish I could shoot pepper from my fingertips, though.

DOGS IN HISTORY

A dog which sailed aboard the Mary Rose ship which sank in 1545 has taken up residence in the Mary Rose Museum at the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard.

This leads me to wonder about other historic dogs. Maybe I will do a series?

If you have a Brooklyn Library Card, it can get you discounts at various places like hotel bleu, car rentals, some restaurants, shops, and a spa. List will hopefully get bigger as word gets out...

Shoyu Tamago

So this is my next food venture. I can't decide if it will be delicious or disgusting. I like hard-boiled eggs so it has that going for it...

Will let you know how it goes...

Next up is homemade soft pretzels. If i can achieve the deliciousness of mall soft pretzels, I will consider it a success.

Annubis in NYC

I find this very creepy and delightful. Plus, I'm really into Lost and there's an Annubis statue featured on the show.

Paulie Gee

Tried out the pizza over the weekend and it was fantastic. Fresh ingredients, great sauce, stupendous crust. The space is very cool as well. I was disappointed that the fig pizza was not on the menu, but I think that's a summer thing. FYI, No liquor license yet.

Here's a flickr account with pictures of some of his pizza's. http://www.flickr.com/photos/pauliegee/sets/72157603296443911/

We had the Delboy (sopressata) and the King Harry (parmesan and prosciutto). Both highly recommended. They are quite small, so ordering one per person is pretty reasonable.

Peanuts

March is apparently National Peanut Month. A little trivia...Americans eat 3 pounds of peanut butter per person every year. That's about 700 million pounds, or enough to coat the floor of the Grand Canyon.

Monkey News

Inspired by a bit on the Ricky Gervais Show, I will be sending a weekly "Monkey News" e-newsletter highlighting any primate related current events. To subscribe email noalithuaniansmith at gmail.com

Good, soft mud...

Small Pig is my favorite childhood book. I'd like to say there's a deep psychological meaning, but really I just like the pictures.

Synopsis: After the farmer's wife cleans up all of his good, soft mud, Small Pig decides to run away. He's sure to find a better pigpen in the city. But, once there, the puddle he thought was mud is not mud at all! And now this small pig has one BIG problem.
